InPress Porter Novelli (“We”) is an In Press Group company offering communication and public relations services, connecting its clients with journalists, influencers and other significant players in various areas of the economy. This involves processing a wide variety of publicly available personal data regarding this type of contact and the businesses in which these people work. This Privacy Notice is intended to provide a transparent explanation of the way we use the personal data of journalists, influencers and other stakeholders.

If you are a journalist

If you are a journalist, we may process some of your personal data to send briefings, releases and other content from our clients that is relevant to you, within the scope of your professional interests.

We process your data not only to contact you, but also to ensure the content you receive is relevant to the topics and areas you work with, reflects your interests as a journalist in having direct access to certain information and our clients’ interests in disclosing such material.

We may process your personal data to invite you on press trips, in which case we may collect some of your personal data and that of anyone associated with you who joins such trips.

Name, business telephone number, email address, the outlet you work for, job or position, area of interest, social media information, home address, position on certain brands, ID card number, CPF number and, if you have published them, data on your sexual orientation.

To send briefings, releases and/or (physical or digital) press kits, even invites, position mapping and obtain your views of various InPress Porter Novelli brands and clients.

Name, telephone number, email address, the outlet you work for, job or position, area of interest, social media information, home address, positioning on certain brands, ID card number, CPF number, your position on certain brands, passport number, date of birth and any languages you speak fluently. Data such as your height, weight and shoe size may also be collected if we decide to offer gifts that require this information.

To invite you on trips with clients (press trips to promote a given product, place or experience) and should you accept, this data will assist in arranging the trip, transportation, accommodation and related services.

Your name, the media outlet you work for, general contact information (business telephone number and/or email address) and your public opinions and positions.

Monitor relevant issues being discussed in the media.

Third-party tools: We may obtain your personal data using specialized tools such as I-Max, Stilingue, Comunique-se.

Websites and social media: We may obtain your data from the websites operated by the media outlets you work for or, if you have made that information publicly available, your social media accounts.

Direct contact: We may have obtained your personal details by contacting your directly via one of our employees, at events or during similar opportunities.

If you are an influencer

If you are an influencer, we may process some of your personal data to send gifts, press kits and other material relevant to your interests and area of expertise, or to contact you to establish or facilitate commercial partnerships between you and one of our clients.

We process your data not only to contact you, but also to ensure the content you receive is relevant to the topics and areas you work with, reflects your interests as an influencer in receiving material from different brands.

We may process your personal data to invite you on press trips, in which case we may collect some of your personal data and that of anyone associated with you who joins such trips.

Name, telephone number, email address, the outlet you work for, job or position, area of interest, social media information, home address, ID card number, CPF number, your position on certain brands, passport number, date of birth and any languages you speak fluently. The ages of any children you may have.

Data such as your height, weight and shoe size may also be collected if we decide to offer gifts that require this information.

Data from influencers’ children is only processed with parental consent and for the purpose of sending toys or for specific actions/campaigns.

Training

When we provide training, we use the participant’s name, photo, job and company department, email and telephone number, social media, prior interviews and experiences and matiers addressed. These data are used to customize training, identify strengths, areas where the participant’s communication could improve and to send reports, videos and other documentation the participant can use to assess the results.

InPress Porter Novelli receives this information from the communications area at the participant’s company, if it is a InPress Porter Novelli client, directly from the participant or from news or social media websites.

Data Subject Rights

Under the General Data Protection Act, you have a number of rights over your personal data. InPress Porter Novelli believes the following rights are particularly relevant to its data processing activities:

Confirming your Personal Data has been Processed: You are entitled to ask whether InPress Porter Novelli processes your personal data.

Access: You are entitled to request a copy of all your personal data being processed by InPress Porter Novelli .

Amending Incomplete, Inaccurate or Obsolete Data: Once you are aware of the data InPress Porter Novelli processes, you can then amend, supplement or update it.

Anonymizing, blocking or excluding Personal Data: This means you can ask us to anonymize, block or delete any of your Personal Data on a InPress Porter Novelli database. Retention period
